We are firm believers in giving back to our community. As education is a subject close to our hearts, we kickstarted our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme by approaching schools in dire need of fixtures. Having identified the areas that require the most urgent repairs, we proceeded with the work to improve the schools’ environment to provide safer institutions to the teachers and students.
Here are some of the schools that we worked with:
At the remote SJKC Choon Hwa (Hulu Langat) the majority of the students are Orang Asli, the indigenous people of Peninsular Malaysia. There were less than 100 students in this school, the building of which was neglected and required a lot of repairs. Some of the work we completed on this school was to replace the falling roof, the damaged floors and drains and the reconstruction of a classroom.
At SJKC Kuang (Rawang), we re-enforced the supporting beams with permanent columns in various areas of the school. Miscellaneous work of repairing damaged walls, drains and pipes were also carried out to ensure a safer environment for the children.
At SJKC Tiong Nam (Sungai Buaya), we focused on repairing cracks and drains, and replacing various awnings in the school.
